Alan Lee BSc (Hons), MPhil

Alan began working in investments in 1978. He held senior fund management roles with New Zealand Insurance in the 1980s, when it was one of New Zealand’s largest investors. Alan subsequently developed his commercial acumen across a wide range of industries as executive director for a major New Zealand holding company. In 2001 he joined JMI Wealth (Clarity’s then parent company) and is a founding shareholder and director of Clarity. These days Alan is trusted as the investment advisor to some of the largest charitable foundations in New Zealand.

Alan is the Chairman of the Clarity Investment Committee. We also benefit from his vast experience in a consulting role to the portfolio managers of the individual funds.
